There are many problems involved in making holes in thin material. It does not drill easily or well. In fact, it is almost impossible to drill through thin sheets without leaving sharp burrs which in most cases must be removed. The cost of the drill, as well as the difficulty, increases with the drill size.

By Far the most economical method of producing a clean, accurate hole is by use of a punch and matching die.

As a result of over 75 years in manufacturing Turret Punch Presses, the Rotex Turret Punch Press is an efficient, versatile, and easily operated machine tool.

Compared with recognized methods of handling small quantity production and short run punching jobs, only a fraction of the time and labor is required when a Rotex Turret Punch is used. As a labor and time saver, Rotex Punch Presses are confidently recommended for a very wide range of applications.

For most job shops, a variety of punches must be quickly available. In order to utilize this added feature of irregular shaped punches, it is required that the machine be keyed to provide precision aligning of the dies and punches. This feature is standard on all models.

The Turrets rotate to the desired punching size instantly and lock into position. The dies and punches are accurately pre-aligned and self locking to insure maximum precision. A safety lock prevents damage to the work, punches, and dies, if the machine is properly aligned. Different sizes and shapes are available instantly with the rotating of the turrets. No time is lost in setting up. The machine is always ready to operate. Once installed, it is unnecessary to realign punches with dies. The turret and dies plate can be rotated independently thereby increasing the versatility of the machine. The stations on the punch turret and die plate are marked alphabetically. The punch holders or punches, and dies are marked according to size.

The "Quick Change" feature of the Rotex punch enables the operator to bring into punching position quickly and efficiently any of the sizes or shapes offered. Rotex offers a greater depth of throat, a greater selection of sizes and shapes, a larger maximum size, 3-1/2", all incorporated in one machine at one time and for less money than all other makes~ "It's a Tool Center."
